Not been anything on the forum about the "bloodgate" fiasco - not much to say really.

As a small sad footnote, when I was at school in Wales the school sports ground was known as "Harlequins Ground", although it had no connection to the team, in deference and homage to a team that epitomised all that was best in rugby union football, and in the fond hope that some of Harlequins values would rub off on us.

O tempora, O mores.

You're right, money has altered "sport" for all time.

If someone is on a £5k bonus for a win they will be very tempted to "stretch" the rules a little, or a lot , as in this case.

I am quite sure that this kind of carry on isn't isolated to just Harlequins rugby club its just that they got caught. The most disturbing part is the fact that a member of the medical staff inflicted the cut.
