Google Toolbar, is this known?

For some time I've been trying to validate my copy of XP to download the Anti Spyware beta, but the info bar, necessary to download the required active X file wouldn't appear. I checked and rechecked every security setting, but couldn't solve it.

On a hunch this evening I turned of the popup blocker on the Google toolbar and tried again, and the info bar appeared immediately.

I just wondered if this was a known fact and something I should have known, or maybe could be useful to others.

Which info bar are you talking about?

The only info bar I know is the one which is associated with the XP SP2 pop-up blocker to let you know that it has blocked a pop-up.

Are you running the Google pop-up blocker as well as the XP pop-up blocker?

If so, isn't that your problem - they're cancelling each other out?

Thanks for that info. I didn't know there was a Google Pop-up blocker as I use the SP2 one but it prompted me to have a look at all the options in the Google drop-down menu.
