Well you seen the news...

Have you been ripped off?

I had dealings with Opera some time ago regarding these expensive text messaging services, you know, free ring tones, etc. You could not get through to them on any number given, could not cancel the service and they sold it to under 16's. I eventually got a refund after saying that I would be taking legal advice.

So nothing new with the company then...

What are you on about?

Maybe a link to some more info would help.

I thought Icstis had carried out a full and thorough investigation into all the quiz lines and found everything to be hunky dory.

I don't think the investigation was a thorough as they made out...

These 'competitions' are a 'tax on stupidity'.

If anyone wants to throw their money away, there are better places to throw it than the pockets of the likes of Opera, Jamster, MBlox, GMTV etc.

Do folk not realise the odds against them winning are huge? Obviously not...

The ones that really annoy me are the ones aimed at kids. Never mind the sanctimonous claptrap like "ask permission from whoever pays the phone bill before calling"

Premium rate & mobile calls are blocked from my phone. Don't ask...

Sorry Wolfie3000, should have included a link to today's main news items, but Gandalf has provided it. Must make a note that not all people read news...

Got my home phone blocked for these numbers as well, two teenage kids looking for a get rich quick at the expense of dad... sorted

No problem STREETWORK,

I cant understand why people buy ringtones from companies like Jamster,

Especially when you can make your own for free.
