Fred Goodwin

Why has Fred Goodwin been singled out to have his honour removed?

Don't get me wrong, I'm not defending him, or protesting his case, but he has never been convicted, or even charged, with any offence, except in the press, yet in the House of Lords Jeffrey Archer continues to sit, alongside several other convicted peers.

One noble lord has even been been arrested, but never found guilty, for paedophilia.

Why the witch hunt on this one particular case?

Why do I get the idea this is yet another piece of sound bite government?

It's simple, he received the knighthood for services to banking subsequently found to be lacking in this regard so knighthood removed. There is a direct correlation in this case.

Whoops, sorry, missed the other thread.

It seems like just another witch hunt to me. And as for being castigated in the House of Commons - the words "Pot, Kettle and Black" spring quite readily to mind.

Why do we need two threads on exactly the same subject?

We don't, let's lock this one, and stick to the original, posted somewhat earlier.
