As in title I formatted the cmptr that was purchased as a 2800 AMD. But now when starting it reads 1250?

Simply reset the CPU FSB frequency to 166 in the Bios - usually found under the section 'Advanced Chipset Features'or similar. In doubt consult your mobo manual.

Tryphon,

you will have to boot into your bios and, set your multiplier to 12.5 and your fsb to 166.

This will give you your correct setting.

leo49,

I'll really have to try that Dorothy Kindersley touch typing tutor. :)
