Someone just told me this today, although he died on the 16th Sept 07 click here

I've been reading & re-reading his 'Wheel of Time' saga ever since I can remember. For me this series is very much on a par (dare I say better?) with Tolkien's Lord of the Rings saga.

The final book to wrap up the myriad of converging plot lines was due out this year. I'm told Stephen King will be finalising it for publication although I can't find confirmation of this.

I gather they mainly appeal to a young audience, but they are certainly successful.

When you spend time in America you gradually realise that the market for fantasy books is absolutely huge there - they seem to wallow in the stuff.

I was tempted to say "a bit like their current President" - but I won't.
