is the amount of compensation paid over age discrimination versus the compensation paid to our forces following horrific injuries. I thought that was obvious."
The compensation paid to Selena Scott was the result of an out of court settlement by a commercial company - presumably because it (the company) was advised that if it lost the court case its costs would be even higher. Such cases are settled in this way quite often, and there's not the slightest 'obvious' connection with government payments to injured members of the armed forces.
I happen to think that, on what ever basis compemsation is paid, the loss of a soldier's legs is worth more than some female being subject to age discrimination. Then again we all have our own values. I'll stick no mine. As to the suggestion about starting a new political party, what a vacuous comment !!
