I have just come across this last one sad news. Although she never saw front line service her and her kind must have been an immense support and they also should be remembered.

She must also have been the last surviving member of the first WRAF, disbanded after WW1, and not reformed until after the end of WW2.

Just had a thought that it would be a fine tribute if there could be an all female combat pilot flypast at her funeral.

She and her contemporaries paved the way.
