Netscape Navigator will no longer be supported.

It was my browser of choice until AOL took it over, and used to be the default browser where I worked, a college with 22,000 students, most of whom had intranet accounts.

Sad to see it go, I still prefer it to IE, though I have long defected to Firefox.

I think that was part of the problem. For reasons best known to themselves AOL simply allowed it to drop out of public awareness.

Pity; it was damn good browser.

Always thought Netscape was also based on IE, same as Avant browser. Still never liked Netscape or Firefox. Opera and IE7 mostly used.

Netscape, predated IE.

In the early days it was streets ahead, but all Windows PCs came bundled with IE and it lost it's edge.
