...it's a celebration of 50 years of British popular music...

...it's gonna be a GREAT PARTY!

I'll be there, albeit on the security gates. If you've not got a ticket, you're not coming in.

Please let there be no Paul McCartney. And I hear the Spice Girls have been practising their miming.

A little bird has told me that Dame Vera Lynn will be singing... " We'll Meet Again "...preceded by Led Zeppelin doin' " Whole Lotta Love "...expect the unexpected!

I heard Elgar mentioned, so we can expect the nation to be in floods of emotional tears with Land of Hope and Glory.

I heard that they've got the acts performing covers of great British songs, so that'll be Dame Vera doing A Whole Lotta Love and Led Zep doing We'll Meet Again

Terry Wogan and Julie Andrews singing Waterloo Sunset?

  morddwyd 07:51 12 Aug 12

Any odds on "Aulr Lang Syne"?

  Quickbeam 09:26 12 Aug 12

A dead cert I should think on that one.

Well at least I was right about Terry & Julie.

"Well at least I was right about Terry & Julie."

Which was just awful. Why people book these ageing artists whose voices are well past their best beats me.

The best singer of the night for me was Jessie J. The girl has a great voice, and knows how to put on a show.
