Kevscar, I agree absolutely. I have only ever seen one episode of Callan + the film (which I have on DVD). I love how gritty and downbeat it is. I wish they'd re-release the series on DVD for a reasonable price. I'd get them straight away.

I hadn't realised he was a classically trained actor. Sir Noel Coward said he was one of the best actors he'd worked with.
