A book everyone should read - The Lunar Men

I don't use this heading lightly, as there's only half a dozen books I've ever read that I would describe this way (out of literally thousands I have read).

I read this recently on holiday and would recommend it to all. It's a biography of several late 18th century industrialist/philosophers who helped to make the UK - and hence the world, the way it is today. And how their lives were intertwined via a society they formed, and their family relationships.

Well written, researched and totally fascinating. And a serious history book by a serious historian.

and agree that it's an interesting account. I'm not sure I would describe it as "A book everyone should read", though. Tastes differ.
