Someone yet unknown was determined to get her in the run up to January's elections. This tragedy could now lead to further riots and violence in troubled Pakistan. TC.

Crikey, bad news indeed.

That's putting it mildly.

There has been an upsurge in violence since she decided to return there.

You may recall that Benazir Bhutto narrowly escaped a similar attempt two months ago on her return to Pakistan.

It is extremely sad and, even more so, disturbing news.

This could drag Pakistan in to total all out reprisal attacks across the country.
A sad day but the worry must be that others that oppose the current leadership could sadly face the same kind of attacks.

There are sad days in our experience of world events, this one is not just marked by the death of a charismatic figure but also by the loss of real hope for Pakistan.

Extremists? Well certainly, whoever indeed has inspired this is looking to maintain a supremacy.

Paul Reynolds - click here - certainly agrees that the country's stability has suffered a severe blow. The question now is who will be brave enough to step in to head the Pakistan People's Party? There's no one left to elect from the Bhutto family itself, it seems. TC.

Not just a bad blow for Pakistan, but for the world.
