'The Bell' in Moscow

When I was in Moscow in the 1970's one of the tourist attractions was a massive bell, in the casting of it a crack occurred and a massive piece fell out, it looked like a door.

Just wondering does anybody know anything of it, or it's location now or then.

on many occasions - it's on the edge of Red Square, and has a sign explaining how it cracked when it was cooling after being cast, and a leaking roof allowed rainwater to fall onto it. It's a massive thing, and must weigh a fair bit.

There always seems to be a group of Russian schoolchidren standing admiringly around it, but I'm sure they can't be the same ones, planted by the ministry for tourism.
