Sorry but I thought Cloe Laine was a pain in the arse and a crap singer.

Thanks Kev

haven't a clue what you're talking about.

FE Its your age.

You ain't never heard of Cleo Laine?

  Forum Editor 00:34 06 Nov 10

but in your opening post you referred to Cloe Laine.

Nothing to do with my age - everything to do with you typing the wrong name.

Is Arnold Laine from the same family?

Never did like her.

  morddwyd 10:03 06 Nov 10

Her style was not for me either, but that hardly makes her "a crap singer"'

That is simply not so.

I only wish that I was welcomed in jazz groups and other musical circles like Cleo Laine and her late husband Johnny Dankworth was. At least it paid the rent and more besides.

About Eartha Kitt then?.

Cleo Laine certainly isn't a bland performer, but her singing voice does nothing for me.

There is one 'mega-star' performer who, in my opinion, cannot sing at all. Willie Nelson. Or 'Wild' Willie Nelson, if you prefer.

Its Ella Fitzgerald for me - and Nellie Lucher.
