Thankfully the use of guide and other working dogs for the blind, deaf and those with mobility issues, are covered by law or perhaps the same `jobsworths` would have them banned as well!!!!

Not to mention Police, `sniffer` dogs and those used in other rescue situations.

Quite right. The use of the bike is an accident waiting to happen.

The ban to Dogs on beaches is sensible because most of the owners fail to clean up after the animals and allow them to run about without bothering who they upset in the process.

Why did they not make an exception in the first place for this specially talented dog. Thank goodness public opinion had the effect it did.

Could the powers that be not have used their common sense? in the first place and saved everyone all this hassle. The dog has been working along the beach for three years helping those in distress in the water, it seems obvious to me that it is a working dog, but seemingly not obvious to some.
