Aah plod using the grey matter, to the best of their abilities again. :)

it's easy to make jokes about things like this when you're not in the situation of being a police officer thinking there may be an armed person in a house, especially when the householder had already phoned police, and failed to answer the door.

Yes, it's very easy to make jokes about this :)

"Sorry, Officer, this life-size blow-up doll is just for disposal on EBay..." ...of course... "...oh, and this weapon in my hand?"

  royalflush 18:49 17 May 07

yeah there is always two sides the every story i see everyones point here..

  egapup 19:06 17 May 07

Why didn't the police see the funny side, say sorry and leave the poor bloke alone.

  Forum Editor 23:07 17 May 07

Maybe because the 'poor guy' has been bailed for firearms offences. I suspect that we don't have the full story here, in which case it might be better not to make hasty judgments.

  WhiteTruckMan 23:35 17 May 07

I'm trying very, very, very hard indeed not to make a hasty judgement...

with hindsight the title of this thread could perhaps have been a little more thought out.
