THE LAUNCH READINESS REVIEW (RAL) took place in Kourou on Wednesday, October 5, 2007 and authorized count-down operations for the INTELSAT 11 & OPTUS D2 launch. For its fourth launch of the year Arianespace will boost two communications satellites into orbit: Intelsat 11 for the international operator Intelsat, and Optus D2 for the Australian operator Optus. Both satellites were built by Orbital Sciences Corporation. Through proven reliability and availability, Arianespace and Ariane continue to set the launch service standard for the world’s leading space communications operators. It will be launched from the Ariane launch complex N° 3 (ELA3), in Kourou, French Guiana.

THE ARIANE 5 "GS" LAUNCHER LIFT-OFF for this flight is scheduled during the night of October 5 to 6, 2007 as soon as possible within the following launch window:

GMT: Between 09:28pm and 10:13pm on October 5, 2007.
