but I did see recently questions in a GCE A2 (Biology 'A' level) paper that I had been asked about in an 'O' level paper about thirty year's earlier.

However ... students today are studying far more subjects (at sixteen years' old) than I did; perhaps fourteen compared to eight.

Seems the lad has common sense. The exam board were overwhelmed that a child was capable of such normal behaviour they deemed it, err, newsworthy.

Delve a little deeper and you'll understand that a certificate was awarded as part of a three week summer youth scheme operated by Bury and Rochdale Activity Generation.

There was no exam involved.

My daughters school hand out "awards" like confetti, they say it promotes better behaviour if the students have physical evidence of their good behaviour. This,I dont disagree with but when my daughter was given a "merit" for simply sitting quietly in class I did start to wonder.

that I was in no way criticizing the lad involved in this.
