Can't wait to see a new programme about Roman gladiators next week.

According to the blurb, it combines "archive footage of real events with movie clips"!

Should be fascinating.

A link to the blurb might be useful.

I think that this may be archive footage of the film.

So do I, but that's not what it says.

It says archive footage of real events!

Well Fred Flintstone had a cine camera, so I don't see why the Roman's wouldn't have access to the same technology...

If I remember correctly, Freddie Flinstone's cine camera had a bird in it rapidly chiselling the frames into the stone reel...

A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum...That was a real event. I'm talking about the comedy film from 1966 starring Zero Mostel, Phil Silvers & Buster Keaton.Don't titter ..no.. that was Frankie Howard! in Up Pompeii.Oh please yourselves.
