how do you secure the spare wheel so that its not stolen.

getting a campervan based on a tranny and there is no proper locking device it just a cable for the tealeaf to cut.

On my transit camper the spare wheel is in a drop down rack under the floor at the rear, the screw for the rack is recessed in the floor and we use the wheel-brace to lower it. Mind you it's a bit fiddly as there is always something sitting on the floor just where you want to get to.

Or get a pitted old steel wheel from the wreckers and a tyre with no more that 2mm of tread... no-one will nick that;)

sunnystaines you could always use it as a baby seat booster simply by bolting it to your back seat.?
