Another terrorist attack?

  MAJ 11:22 02 Feb 09

Buses cancelled, the Tube severely disrupted, all BA flights cancelled, runways closed, airports on alert, roads closed, schools closed, thousands of people off work, Railways disrupted, BBC reporters dispatched to all points east of Wales.

What has happened? Another terrorist attack? A nuclear accident? An Alien invasion?

No, a bit of snow fell. It must be the start of the mountain climbing season.

Went for a walk earlier with crampons on my walking boots.
Never used them in Surrey before, normally used only when climbing or walking in Somerset!

Don't worry, it's all part of global warming.

BBC have a helicopter out now, it's relaying back crappy pictures though. M25 is a car park. Boris has suspended the congestion charge, lol. One casualty to report, a Westminster politician was seriously hurt when someone made a remark about the cut of his suit.

Here we go again, another chance to knock old UK!
Whenever we get a bit of snow the whole country grinds to a halt etc. or so people are only too ready to tell us.

But is it not a fact that at such time most countries fare little better?. There must be at least some of you out there with experience of living in other countries that get snow in winter.

Do other countries really manage that much better than we do? At least during the first few hours of heavy snowfall don`t all countries grind to a halt?

"M25 is a car park"

Situation normal, then.

Thanks for that forum member,
so it is as I expected then, just another excuse to knock our own country again.

Just heard on the news, Wednesday Rovers United broke the transfer record for a new player, reports say that the deal was worth almost £60 million and by the way, tomorrow's match is cancelled because of snow on the pitch.
