An Amazing Coincidence

The Government has introduced a 5 pence fuel duty cut in the Scottish islands, because of the high cost of fuel there.

By an amazing coincidence, the price of fuel has just gone up by five pence.

Fuel companies deny profiteering.

...swings and roundabouts...the Government can do what they like...because they are the Government in residence at the mo'.

...but, they had to do a big U-turn on their 'work placement scheme for young people', when big companies gave the scheme the elbow.

I detect a chink....(in their poor policies)...and more U-turns.

...the fuel companies are in business, to make money (and so is this Tory Government!)...I was particularly saddened to hear that profits (in the Gas & Electricty companies), have been low, because of the very mild winter we've had...but that's another subject...

Perhaps it would just have been quicker for the Government to hand the 5p direct to the fuel companies.
