Always Somebody Worse Off

Went for my small eye procedure today, but don't worry, this isn't about that.

Shared the transport with an attractive and pleasant woman in her 30s/40s and as we chatted she was horrified that I was having a needle in the eye, and glad that she as only going for a routine test.

When we met up again I asked her how it had gone and she was in tears.

They'd found a particularly bad cancer which had spread throughout her body.

Suddenly a needle in the eye didn't seem such a bad option after all.

That is so tragic, poor lady.
