but they are not going to verify or publish the information it receives,instead they will act as an intermediary...it will be left to others to check,edit or publish information they think is in the public interest.

In the outset they intend a partnership with five newspapers worldwide,expanding to anyone who wants to participate.

The reason they give for not publishing sensitive material themselves,is that they do not want that responsibility.
