"The Album you really should buy"

Er, why??

  The Brigadier 16:30 30 Nov 06

Sorry do you just copy it from a fellow shoplifter then?

Have all three on cassette (remember them or before your time), vinyl, CD and now of course MP3.

Music is a personal choice and personally I like a wide variety except "Rap" (maybe something to do with my age and / or ethnic origin).

When someone tells me I really should buy or as the adverts quote the "must have ... of the year", my first inclination is no way!!

"Sorry do you just copy it from a fellow shoplifter then?"

Don't be facetious.

You have, apparently, made a recommendation.

It's usual, therefore, to explain exactly why you are recommending something and why you think it may benefit others.

when it was first released, over 30 years ago, and it sold by the million. Nowadays it sounds just a bit, well, 1970's and I think I'll give it a miss.

I can always dig out my old vinyl copy if I'm feeling nostalgic.

Incidentally, it's perfectly reasonable for someone to ask 'why?' when you title a thread "The Album you really should buy", so you might want to ease up on the offensive retorts.

Genesis, The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway.

The finest album they ever made.

My mistake, sorry.

Tubular bells was the really big hit of the 70's and just bought & the music is reall ground breaking for the 70's.

Also listening to Yousuf or Cat Stevens as he was, seems music from the 70's 7 80's is making a come back. Pity my hair cant as well!!

He's one of my wife's oldest friends, and his music often drifts through the house. We're delighted that he seems to want to record again.
