Give it 50 years and some of the adverts of today will seem shocking too,

The "Anti" adverts of today are just as shocking as the ones you linked too.

The anti smoking advert with the children smoking cigarettes and the anti drink driving and the one that sticks out for me is the one about using mobile phones while driving also.

I take the OP's point, but I'd be surprised if some of these adverts, if not all, are made up or Photoshopped. (Is that a verb now?) People have short memories and their version of "the good old days" or “when I was a lad" can be wildly inaccurate. In fact, I seem to recall that it was only in the last 20 years or so, that it was legal to shoot poor people if you didn’t like the look of them.
