OK, I know it's in the Mail but if there is a shred of truth in this story, not much wonder the country is on its knees click here

She'd be foolish not to accept every penny offered to her.

Never in my wildest nightmares would I have thought this would happen in my own country - is it any wonder the World's poor want to live here!

Each claim costs £81.03 a week on average and the total bill for claims runs to £16billion. London accounts for more than a quarter of that.

Tony Blair pledged in 1997 to bring the costs down but ministers have failed to find a way to trim the bills without forcing hard-up families out of their homes. Instead the costs have risen by a total of (£180billion (true figure?)) in the past 12 years.

'I suppose that, in a place like Notting Hill, the top end of the rental market takes in the uber-rich so the 'middle of the range' will be that much higher'...in that case move her to a large estate where the costs of keeping her and her brood will be less than in Notting Hill...simples.

Unfortunately to highlight faults in the system individuals have to be picked on.

Hercule Poirot is right - if the claim is 'honest' and the state wants to pay out money like that I, for one, would be foolish to turn it down.

It's our 'soft' welfare system that's to blame.
