Hopefully the fact that this story is being published by the BBC will alert more folk to these scammers. OK, it wasn't done via a begging email, but a short addition to this report reminding the gullible of such things might be in order too.

I wonder if this will make the national news? It should do.

419 scams like the TV phone in quizzes are a tax on the stupid and that vicar certainly fits the bill. If I was religious I would be wary of putting the trust for my spiritual guidance to someone so dense.
