1959-60 song

  March Wind 26 Jul 11

I would like to know does anyone remember a song with the words Johny in it. It was out the same time as Oh Carol I am but a fool. I have been looking but do not know the title. I would remember I think the song if I see the words.

Not sure if this is the place to ask.

Appropriately enough "Johnnie remember me" in 1961

Johnny Leighton sang the theme tune to FIREBALLL XL5 and one of the characters on it was called Zoonie. I think Zoonie might know the answer. He was Steve Zodiac's right hand man.Justme is right.

For some reason the link to wikipedia did not come out properly, there should be an underscore between "Johnny" and "remember" and "me"

Don Spencer was in the mix too.

You can try this site http://www.azlyrics.com/ for lyrics, but the A to Z only gives artistes' names I think. Lots of Johnnies there. It's a handy site to kep for other questions though.

Here's another site that may solve the problem for you. http://www.thisdayinmusic.com/birthdayno1

Don Spencer was a stalwart on Playschool in the 70's, while Johnney Leighton was trying to fashion an 'underground' acting career in 'The Great Escape'.Don and Jon are you still on the go? HB

I suppose there's always a odd chance that March Wind is talking about "Frankie & Johnnie", or even "John & Marcia"!
