ZoneAlarms - is it as good?

  ///A M G 19:33 30 Jun 04

I been using the new ZoneAlarms Security Suite. It has an in-built Anti Virus program, and updates everyday very quickly.

But with new viruses coming out nearly everyday, does ZoneAlarm react as quick as Norton or Sophos?

Can anyone tell me for sure as I may change my Anti-Virus program

i use the firewall but have not tried the added AV version. i guess its as good as any so long as you keep it up to date and run scans often.

I run ZoneAlarm free version(Firewall only) and Sophos AV. If you are happy with ZoneAlarm and the updating works, stick with it,as Sophos, whilst an excellent AV is very expensive and aimed at the corporate market (although my business ussr licence covers me at home, which is nice :))

You have as much chance being hacked as Henman has of winning Wimbledon ;-)), so any decent firewall will do. Most AVs are excellent and, as I keep saying, there is no need for a home user to pay for a firewall or an AV when there are so many excellent free ones around.
