I have a video file which is about 100mb. How do I compress the file so I put it in an email and send through hotmail? Can someone suggest something?

If the file has an AVI extension then it could be compressed down to an mpeg.

I doubt very much you are ever going to get it small enough for emailing on Hotmail. A facility such as Yousendit.com could do it but it will take quite a long time for you to upload.

Are you running XP?

If so right click on the file, and then click:

Send To > Compressed Folder

It'll then zip the file

Before you go to a lot of trouble, make sure your recipient's ISP will accept very large emails.

Sorry, that should read ISP and/or email client.
