Zip Drive Problem

  tlong 09:34 11 Dec 03

I have an external iomega 250 zip drive, but i have no free bays.

Is it possible to get some sort of USB converter??

Any help would be most appreciated!

I believe you can get a four-way USB card which is simple to fit internally for about £10 these days.
Also some towers have the standard two usb outlets at the back and also another two outlets at the front which are accessible through a small lift-up flap. Worth checking this out.

Sorry i didn't explain myself properly...

I have plenty of free usb ports.

I have a "internal" (not external... sorry one of those mornings) zip drive...

Atapi interface.

Wondering if there was such a thing to allow me to use it via usb.

Yes there is, if you have a free PCI slot you can fit a Ultra ATA/133 PCI Adapter Card.

Maxtor do one - in fact I have one on my computer.

Have a look at click here

They are not expensive, and give you a lot more scope for adding bits and bobs.
