zip drive ejecting too soon

I am using a 750mb zip drive with Powerquest Data Keeper software to back-up form my pc running XP. The program likes to back up as I turn off to keep files up to date. Windows seems to tell the zip drive to eject once I start to turn off but before the back-up is complete. Is it possible to stop this?

for your ZIP drive during shut-down, and that's what causes the eject. I'm using a ZIP drive too, but not the software that you have - I use the Iomega Automatic backup program. That backs up my files every time the nominated source changes as I work, and the disk stays in the drive when I shut down - it's never ejected.

I think your problem is software related - have you tried the Iomega Automatic backup?
