ZA Logs

Was bored so looked at my ZA logs, noticed many attemps from the same ip address. So checked "who is" and reported them. I was shocked to find they had 60k reports. All from China. I really wonder if isp`s are more interested in getting the money from folks rather than sorting out this stuff. I know that when someone got my login name and password(cos i was stupid!) aol suspended my account. They got 18 complaints. Heck, it`s a silly complaint, but there should be something we can do.

Alas, it seems we just have to install a firewall and let it protect us.

On ZA, in the Who-is (hacker id) section it clearly states

"You should not assume that individuals listed in this report are responsible for the alert you received on your computer"

as such, reporting them will make no difference, just be assured that Zone Alarm is doing it's stuff and protecting you.

so far since install (about two weeks ago) my ZA has blocked 3070 attempts, 57 of which have been HIGH-RATED. Most of the attempts come from my own ISP anyway

but i just leave alerts turned off and let it get on with protecting me.

i know this isnt an answer but it might give you some peace of mind.
