YouTube within Facebook Crashes Page

The past few days, attempting to play a YouTube video within a Facebook page causes the page to crash.

This is an IE issue only - reverting back to IE10 from IE11 didn't work as an attempted solution.

Any ideas, comrades?

Have you tried the Fixit Tool from here?

Aye - no joy.

This may or may not be related but according to this link going to Internet Options Advanced Tab and unticking the box "Enable Enhanced Protected Mode" has helped with some IE11 crashes. Worth a try, you can always enable it again if it doesn't help.

Something that also might help. Tools, compatibility view settings, and add the facebook site. If that doesn't work then remove the site from the box and untick the box for use Microsoft compatibility sites. Just return to default if none work.

I went to enable Enhanced Protected Mode only to find it unticked, so I ticked it, rebooted and found the issue to have disappeared.

Bonkers! But, thanks to chub_tor your solution-esque and rdave13 for your input.
