When running Windows ME, my laptop hung up and upon reboot I get the error message " Your program caused a divide overflow error, if problem persists contact program vendor" and the computer refuses to do anything else, it is also the same in safe mode. Any help would be very helpfull.
Thanks

Try Restarting your computer with the Startup disk in your floppy disk drive, and then choose the Minimal boot option.
Type

scanreg /restore

and then press ENTER. If it boots into ME then run an up to date virus checker and something like spybotsd or adaware.
