Yahoo email in Outlook 2007

Hope someone can help me
I have followed Yahoo and Outlooks method of getting my Yahoo email in Outlook 2007 (both the same method) everything seems fine but if I try to send and recieve I get a box up asking for my account details, (they are already filled in), if I click ok it disappears for 5 seconds and comes back on.
During the set up this also happened when I clicked test connection.

What is stopping me? What have I done/not done?

1) click tools
2) click e-mail accounts
3) click next
4) click change
5) click more settings
6) click on tab "outgoing server"
7) put check marks in "my outgoing server (SMTP) & a dot in "use same settings as my incomming"

try that as see how u get on, basically the settings are the same for bt accounts also i believe.

Tried to do this and the 2 actions in point 7 were already checked

Anyone else had this and resolved it?

Thanks guys, both these prospective solutions refer to mail plus from yahoo which I dont actually have. I am just the standard yahoo mail.

I have heard this can only be done using mail plus....anyone heard different?

You could try lotvic's method in this thread - it's for Outlook Express but the settings would be the same for Outlook

think you need mail plus yahoo to get it in outlook 2007...mine did not work either although gmail & aol were ok.
