XP/SP2 Bluetooth Service Error

  albu 15:32 12 Jan 06

Using XP Home SP2 installed, Belkin USB Adaptor and Sony Ericsson K700i

In bluetooth devices, i try to turn discovery on but i get a bluetooth error message saying:

An error occurred while windows was saving your settings. The following settings were not saved:
Discoverability settings
Connection settings

The phone is found and in range, but can't connect. The USB adaptor is working properly.

Any help please!

SP2 implements native support for Bluetooth in Windows XP so, if you have installed the Belkin Bluetooth drivers, you may have to uninstall these and use Windows' own drivers to avoid a conflict.

Have a look also at this Microsoft page relating to Bluetooth after installing SP2 in XP click here

goto device manager select your bluetooth device and click update driver. Select choose driver yourself and click on the driver for yuor adapter (it will be the one without the little picture next to it)
