I have Windows XP Pro installed and everything worked fine.
Then I installed the Service Pack1. Now I am constantly getting a Blue Screen with message "Technical Information Stop: 0x0000008E
(0xC0000005,0xBF8139FE,0xF9B50F38,0x00000000)
Win32K sys.ADDRESS BF8139FE BASE at BF800000
DATE STAMP 3DB6D462

Even when looking down list of favourites , welcome screen , internet shopping , or here on pc advisor
Can anyone tell me what it means or should I get rid of Service Pack1 and compute in peace ?

You could do a system restore and see if it resolves the problem.
