Both - XP into XP and 98 into 98.

As you're asking this question it would pay you,for your own sake, to do a little homework and understand how dualbooting works before embarking on it.

The whole essence of dualbooting is that although there are 2 OS's on the same PC,each is independent and whichever is operative at any one time acts as if it's the only one - hence the need for installing into an OS all the necessary drivers.

For example,I mutiboot 6 OS's, yet in Explorer only the OS drive which is "active" and in use is visible - the others,for all purposes, don't exist.
