Go to Start/Run/CMD and type in: net stop winmgmt.

Then delete
the %windir&\system32\wbem\repository directory.

Once done go back to
Start/Run/CMD and type in: net start winmgmt

And/or: Go to Start/Run/CMD and then run each of these hitting enter after

winmgmt /clearadap

winmgmt /kill

winmgmt /unregserver

winmgmt /regserver

winmgmt /resyncperf

Then delete the %windir&\system32\wbem\repository directory.

Use Windows explorer to find \system32\wbem\Repository. You could try and delete it without shutting Windows down, ie: ignore the net stop winmgmt command (Windows management) but it will not let you as Windows needs the folder whist its running.

Hit and hold the Windows key and press E, click the + symbol at the side of your hard drive then + at Windows then System32 then WBEM then right click and delete repository.

Go back to run and type cmd then type net start winmgmt

You fixed it!

What you really did is delete a corrupted directory, Windows rebuilds the folder when it restarts.
