Xp wireless fault

  Ozy 09:46 03 Aug 08

i have Vista dual booted with XP,
Vista connects with Orange Livebox wirelessly
with no trouble.
XP will not find the livebox, it just keeps searching,
To use XP, I have to put the Livebox CD in the drive,
and go through the installation, and type the WPA, number.
XP will work normally by Ethernet wire, but it is 15mtrs from
the livebox, and is a hazard.
( I have games that don’t work on Vista )

Did you hide the SSID on wireless router? Don't hide SSID, wireless adapter in XP will have problem to detect hidden SSID as I know.. If need more helps, you can go to home network and wireless network help website click here

Update the XP drivers for the wireless card , not through Windows update , but through the makers website , make sure you get the latest ones .
