Hi there

How do I get rid of the XP dire warnings when I boot up? I have a new PC fro my daughter that is not connected to the internet, and just used for games and WP, but each time it boots up its says 'Anti Virus out of date' or 'Automatic updates or firewall not on!'

Assuming your OS is XP SP2, got to Security Centre and activate the automatic updates and firewall settings. DISABLE the AV settings.

I know you're not using the 'net but those settings should stop the 'nag' warnings.

in control pannel click security centre under resources click on change the way security centre alkerts me and utick all items this will stop the messages.

If you do connect to the internet you will need to update and implement ALL.
