XP v Zone Alarm firewall

Is the firewall provided with XP good enough to run on its own? Or should I run Zone Alarm instead/aswell?
I sometimes think ZA is slowing stuff down, though it might just be me.

xp's firewall is extremely basic and only filters incoming traffic whilst zonealarm filters both incoming and outgoing (stopping spyware/adware etc)try them yourself goto shields up ina search engine and it will test your computers firewall security then choose for yourself
