OK have reinstalled xp to a dell pc and made the default user account which was name owner to my account with my username.

The path for my documents and settings is still listed as c:\documents and settings\owner though, my question is this can I change this path in the registry without any ill effects, I have found the relevent key

HKEY_CURRENT_USER - Volatile Environment and then there is the appdata path listed as c:\documents & settings\owner\application data and homepath documents & settings\owner

Can I just change these keys to c:\documents & settings\my username\application data and the same for the homepath?

Cheers
