XP - System Tools not on Start Menu

Odd this. Clean install of XP Pro. But Start, All Programs, Accessories ... and the System Tools (sub) menu does not appear. So I have to navigate to backup, defrag, scandisk etc.

My account has administrator privileges ... any suggestions?

thanks

What happens if you cut copy and paste this into the address bar of your web browser?

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Accessories

The above assumes you have installed XP on the C drive.

Ignore the "cut" reference..

I think the reference needs to be to

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs

System Tools is not in there and not in the relevant folder for my user profile, either. (V annoying, as this was a clean install from CD on a new drive).

Suppose I need to locate the relevant folder and drag it to my user profile, but wonder if there is "a proper" way to do it ... any suggestions welcome. thanks

Might be an idea to run sfc /scannow

Thanks - you pointed me to the answer. When I looked at the Start Menu, I saw that some of the folders that should have been under "Accessories" were under "Money" !

I simply dragged them to the right place and all is well - cheers :-)
