XP System tools empty

  MICKY BOY 08:58 09 Oct 04

Can any body give advice. I am running XP.
Have just noticed that when I go to Start – All programs – Accessories – System tools
It appears to be empty. Can anybody tell me how to get the folders back under system tools. Can access system tools by other means . but would like to see icons under system tools.
Have tried to reinstall under add and remove. But still shows empty under system tools.

Any advice please

has this always been like this, or has something changed?

have you installed and run any disk management software lately which may have "tidied" up your start menu, if so then you will have to try to undo the changes.

otherwise, try a system restore (sorry that is also in System Tools)

to get that one, goto C:\WINDOWS\system32\Restore and double click the

rstrui icon

restore to a point where you remember it working.

good luck

Try right clicking on the Start button area>Properties>Customise.

You can then add or delete various items from the Programs menu as required.
