XP system hang when attempting to play video

I have just replaced my mother board with an Asus A7V8X-X and installed a Radeon 7000 series AGP video card, Windows XP professional and downloaded all the latest fixes and drivers.

If I attempt to run video using Media Player, Real player, Power DVD or the webcam, the system hangs and needs restarting.

However if I play the same files using Pinnacle Studio I have no problem and I have no problem capturing video from a digital video camera either.

Does anyone have any ideas. One possible assist is that SiSoft Sandra indicates that no IRQ has been allocated to the card. ( I couldn't find a way to allocate and IRQ in the BIOS)

Some system hardware info is attached below
