On start up, i now get the 'split' screen. On one side it says 'to begin, click your username', on the other side it has pinkish shortcut for 'owner'. Im sure this would be familiar to some people here. Not to me tho...pc used to fire up and go straight to desk top. Now i have to click on owner to get to desk top. Tried a system restore from this morning (when i know it started up as usual) but i still have to go thru this extra procedure. Just a bit worried whats caused this and how can i get back old settings. No ms updates as far as i know

phew, thanks

Thank you for that. To put record straight i wanted to use orange jukebox. THis needed .NET Framework which created the extra user account ASP.NET as per your link. Ironically decided against orange...so deleted ASP.NET and all is back to normal

Just one thing....what is .NET Framework?

Can i now delete it.....where is it? ok thats 3 things. Nearly resolved

For net framework see

It can be removed from add/remove in control panel.

Leaving it installed will do no harm though.
